Does it matter if I take my valve measurements with the retaining rocker clip off?
So far this is what I've got for measurements.
Horizontal Exhaust .004 and .0015
Intake .004 and .001
Vertical Exhaust .002 and .0025
Intake .004 and .001
All my measurement were taken with the clip off. With it on I was getting slightly tighter opener values. Should I do it again with the clips on?
The bike is my wifes s2r 1000 and she doesn't ride to hard. The only one I'm worried about is the vertical exhaust. She only rides to church and back [evil] the bike only gets an occasional flogging if one of my friends takes it.
Any input?

Yes...the clip should be in place for measuring for the most accurate results.
You knew that or wouldn't have second guessed yourself. ;)
Will the bike blow up...I doubt it.
Honestly I couldn't remember.... Thanks Nate.
It matters, but not much. Adjust the .002 opener, then return to your regurlarly scheduled program, already in progress. Tell the wife she needs to do a better job of beating that thing up so you can adjust more valves. ;)
Love Smiley the Psychotic Button, BTW! Where'd you stumble across that?
