Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: junior varsity on February 22, 2011, 06:32:35 PM this?
(http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/files/Ducati_Monster_Art_Kit%205.jpg) The Sport 100 logomania kit: Quote Ducati Sport 100 Built in the race-driven mid-1950s, the Ducati Sport 100 used engineering solutions that had taken Ducati to victory in the Motogiro D'Italia. This new scheme, in blue and silver and proudly presenting the Ducati Meccanica tank logo, stands as a tribute to Fabio Taglioni's Ducati Sport 100. I like it. Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: Bishamon on February 23, 2011, 06:09:59 AM I like it!
In fact, I like most of the new logomania kits. I probably would have been all over the 'Darmah' kit, except that it doesn't look very good with a red frame, and the 796 was/is not available with a black frame. I have always thought that blue and silver go well together though. Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: 696DCRider on February 23, 2011, 06:37:10 AM Something about the blue and silver just doesn't do it for me. But then again, I generally tend to like bikes that are all one color(except for the frame that is)
Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: junior varsity on February 23, 2011, 07:44:28 AM i like that its a classy scheme already done for you.
i don't like that its a scheme that if i bought it, somebody else would have it too. then again, i put the retro logos on my tank, and a year later, the SportClassic line came out, with the same era logo on the tank. I was pissed - i could have just bought one of the Sport monopostos and been done. (but i do love me monster) Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: junior varsity on February 23, 2011, 07:45:09 AM and no, it does not belong on a red frame. the red/white version of the same would do though.
likewise, several of the other paint schemes don't work on the red frame, while some of the darker paint colors clash with the black frame. Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: Grappa on February 23, 2011, 09:05:01 AM I would have liked it before the existence of Red Bull. Kinda looks like a Red Bull promo bike. :-\

Richardsmonster also has a post somewhere (his first post, this being his second) about his Darmah edition 1100. Who is you, Richardmonster? Who is you? Is it invisible too?? Exactly :) Title: Re: Monster 1100 - Sport 100 Edition Post by: booger on February 26, 2011, 04:43:28 PM Richard's probably a child to whom English is a second or third language, and most likely does not own a Monster or any other motorcycle. That's just my best guess and until Richard proves me wrong it will remain my assumption.
