My bike came from the dealer with the basic plastic holder and rego sticker just cable tied on too the frame, just next to my left shin when in riding position. I have a problem with that because:
A) It looks shite
B) The cable tie could break quite easily
C) It vibrates in the wind
D) It'll probably eventually wear on the paint
E) Did I mention that it looks shite?
What have others in Vic done to counter this? I've looked at the the rego tube option and other places to put it but nothing leaps out as being preferable.
Did Mr Plod get upset with your solution?
This is what I have done. Haven't had any grief. The VicRoads website states it can be mounted on the left hand side of the bike and doesn't say what sort of holder it has to be in.

So you went the tube option, ok, thanks. Its nice and tidy, tucked away like that.
PM sent.

Criminal. Its people like you that give motorcyclists the outlaw image.
Sticker?? Rego Sticker?? What phuggin rego sticker?? [evil] ;D [thumbsup]
The stickers are bullshit!! They know whether your bike or car is registered well before they pull you over! [roll] [leo]
No rego stickers in WA any more :'(
Most people mounted in the clear plastic crappy thing on the corner of the number plate and when planning on riding over the limit it would somehow swing around and obscure the plate number.
It was a miracle

yeah they got those SCMODs now........ [laugh]
I heard here in SA they will abolish rego stickers soon as the smart little cop cars will have number plate readers and tap in to the rego database to tell if your car is rego'd or not.
