Uncalculable. Once he reached 88 mph he began to go backwards in time.

...so 88 then ;D
The hand behind the back was kind of lame...
I would eye ball it at 140mph ;D They should have had a 620 running next to it as a reference ;D ;D

Funny stuff; the replies I mean. Isn't the Diavel top speed limited by gearing and also electronically. From what I read, they were most interested in flat out acceleration off the line.

We'd do it racing Ninja 250s. From testing w/ and w/o the hand behind the back, it seemed to make a difference in top speed (as did getting your butt back in the seat and up in the air). It's not super-scientifiic, but we went faster with our hands behind our backs. Then again, that's on a radically underpowered bike trying to barely break 100. The Diavel has a ton more power, but at much higher speeds than 100, it might make a difference on an unfairinged bike.
That also doesn't look like it rides like any "cruiser" I've ever seen. [evil]
Had a potter round the car park at the store today on a Diavel, both feet on the ground when stopped which is good for a short arse like me, and one thing that won't need replacing is the exhaust because it sounds awesome... [bow_down]
Don't ask for pics this time Spidey because I'm still a bloody dinosaur... [bang]
Thursday night VIP open evening over here in UK ducati stores... [beer]

God that sounds so good
Love that sound!! Pretty quick acceleration too.
May have to get me one of those ( in about 10 years).

in 10 years we'll all be driving nuclear powered flying vehicles.

apparently with creamsicles for propellers
Think that'd really cut down on the flight time
Saw a handful in Daytona.....240 rear tire stock :o. Normally not a fan, but it fits the bike well.

The left hand goes up to the left side of the tank behind the number plate, needs to be right there next to the left side of the handle bar in case the front end starts doing something weird and it's easier to move your hand to the bar when setting up for the turn without upsetting the bike. Here is a pretty good video http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/923/Motorcycle-Video/2010-AMA-Flat-Track-Springfield-Mile-II-Video.aspx (http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/923/Motorcycle-Video/2010-AMA-Flat-Track-Springfield-Mile-II-Video.aspx) - Gene

Offical times run against the mighty VMax w, 197 hp and 121 lb. ft. of Torque. vs the Diavel w, 162 hp and 94 lb. ft. of Torque.
0-100 mph...both bikes do it in exactly 6.00 seconds...0-120 mph, Diavel 8.69seconds, VMax 8.66 seconds.
Test conducted by MCN Magazine UK.
