I'm guessing by the photo numbers that this was more than just a couple of bikes...some kind of group demo ride from the local dealers.

Dealers are going through the "orientation". I know at least 2 people that are riding them today.
That first pic confirms my fears....this bike will be to small for my 6'5" frame :(

that guy looked 6'8"+ and 280+
not sure that's a good representation of the bike size.
supposedly it's larger than a monster. bet the size is more ST like

I fit fine on my old S4Rs at 6'5" w, gear 260 lbs.
Do you think it's smaller than a S4Rs ?
Dolph [moto]
I sat on one at a bike show in SC last weekend. I'm 6'2 and it fits me perfectly. The tank is freaking wide. The bike doesn't seem that long either. The seat is kinda low and the bars up high compared to a monster. I like it a lot!
on board heading down from the Rock Store.

BTW, that little clicking sound is the safety cord for the contour camera I forgot to snap back together.

I sat on a Diavel with the touring seat which is taller and a bit flatter.. you would want this seat for sure as it gives a bit more room.
That Diavel looks like an Odd Duck....
An Odd Duck...
Who would have thunk it?
Has that person in front of the camera bike ever ridden a bike before? Just say'n...
I do like the rear tail lights. [thumbsup]
HA, they changed the first pic to get rid of the HUGE dude on the bike... [laugh]

How does it compare to a MTS1200 in terms of riding position and overall comfort?

he's going to be very embarrassed to read that.... he doesn't ride the street very often, crashed his track bike last august and got beat up some, hadn't ridden since.. he actually runs a track school and does lots of track time. He laughed himself at how rusty he looked!! I was doggin' him a bit DNA really didn't want us riding too aggressive so no passing on this section.

for my 30" inseam it was great, at 53 both my wrists hurt most days from too much damage so I found the bars to be perfect for a change. I sat on a touring seat and that felt a bit better and roomier but only after two hours was I feeling a bit tingly :-[ on the stock seat. The MTS works great but a Monster will get to me after a while and other than a few laps, SBK's are out for me these days. It will be a stretch to the bars for a shorter rider.. I'm 5'11"
What do you think about someone w. a 35 " inseam at 6'5" ?
Dolph [moto]
Seems eagle and I are the same height....

you'd be snug in the stock saddle.. with the tour seat you should be fine.

I don't think he could have went much faster - it appeared to me he was leaving a good gap between himself and the bikes in front of him.

Thanks for the video!!
I think this thing is starting to grow on me. I will likely never buy one, but I have to give credit to Ducati for creating a unique beast. I hope this monster is a sales success for Ducati as the Monster was.
