I have been looking for a link to raise my monster slightly. Eastern Ducati doesn't make theirs anymore and FBF told me that the one they sell won't work to raise the bike.

Anyone have other suggestions?

You can use the adjustable link from an S2R800, and I believe also some SBKs, but I'm not sure which models.  Stock length on the 695 is 272mm.

Raising for a geometry/handling change?  Sag is good to go?

If you need/want, you can also change the seat to a standard monster seat for some extra leg room.  The seat on the 695 is shaved down around 3/4" compared to the "regular" seats.

The sag will be good once the new springs are all in. It just feels a little low to me. Just an odd feeling but if it can be changed then why not?

I have a DP touring seat on it now and that did help some.

I have read that a 999 link is 285mm, was looking in that direction also if it works.

Remember that a little change of the rod = a lot of change of the ride height (don't recall the exact ratio).

I raised my rear about 10mm if I remember right.  It's nice to have the adjustability option.  Take notes and experiment.  Careful of the chain tension.

edit:  Motowheels carries a billet threaded rod, but you'd need to source the heim joints.  They have nice $$ complete units, too.

edit#2:  Noticed speeddog replied to a similar adjustable link question a few posts below.

One turn on the rod, 1.5 + 1.5 mm, equals 6 mm ride height.
From stock to a 285 mm rod raises the bike 24 mm, which is very noticeable - maybe too much - depends.
Your new springs (stiffer?) will also lift the bike - not an issue if they're equal front and rear, but if it's only rear it comes in addition to the rod extension.

Maybe a rod from an S2R is better.....
