I finally let go of my cheap and sordid emotional attachments and sold the Supersport. Sure...it made me do evil things. Like the time it made me wheelie at a jaywalker and flip him off as I rolled past on one wheel. Or the time I did a gigantic stoppie in front of Dainese Dan at the D-Store. It also treated me like shit at times...blowing all four valves on a ride in Santa Cruz ($2200), making me crash on Redwood Rd (a week after I got it), seeing Ivan crash it (a week after that), and crashing in turn 11 at Infineon. But despite all the troubles, I had some incredible times. I did my first track day on that bike. I got a knee down at Thunderhill for the first time on that bike. I met Anne's dad for the first time when I rode that bike to Monterey for the classic car races. And it was a champ at those wheelie clinics we used to do. The front wheel would loft with nary a thought. I'm really going to miss that bike...

A very easy, forgiving bike to hustle through Mines always finds a place in my heart.
