Want! They have done a special edition of the Multistrada 1200 S in the Pikes Peak race bike colors. Besides the different colors, it's got a couple different gizzys like a low CF windscreen, but nothing super dramatic.
But, I told myself that if I ever manage to get a 1200, I'd have to do the race colors :)

Never been a huge fan, but that's cool! [thumbsup]
want, fo sho
I stuck this on the Misc. Cool Italian bikes thread yesterday. Didn't know where else to put it. Probably does deserve it's own thread. Not a MTS 1200 fan but I know a lot of folks are. [moto]
i really like the corse colors on ducati's in general
Definite want!!!
Hmm Asphalt and Rubber has more photos. There's a USA set and a Euro set. Noticeable difference is that Euro one is shown with a Termi exhaust... ain't that a pregnant dog

the more i look at it, the more and more i like it...
though that really sucks about the euro vs the us version... the euro's get a performance enhancing $1000+ item... while we get... a badge with numbers on it? whoopy de doo...
maybe they can't sell the US version with the Termi on it, but you get it in a package like the D16
man that thing is beautiful. I hated the Multi 1100 but Ducati hit the nail on the head with the 1200.
Definitely want!

I had a soft spot for the 1000/1100. Looked a bit like a Go-bot, but it was comfy, pretty nimble and not bad... And I lost that feeling after riding a 1200 and 1100 back to back. The 1200 was so much better in almost every way. Just wasn't even fair

oh the thought of such excess. :o
The M1200 is growing on me, but at $22K that is a lot of coin

Can't argue there... but it is a fantastic bike to ride. Maybe in a couple years when there's some used ones a float...
I would much rather have a MTS 1200 S Touring than a Diavel
I really don't like the low-slung header on this bike.

hells yes man.
i am getting the multi bug. If ever "give" the monster to the wife, I will buy a MTS 1200, and ride the shit out of it.

random information, nothing special, but the the mts1200pp would have been called the corse edition if they didnt get the license...

i know, im currently designing a rear rack for the 696, having it welded up here in pikes peak country, planning on strapping a few seal line dry bags, my fly rod and tent to it this spring and heading out a few weekends.
its going to be limiting though, many 14ers have rough dirt roads that i wont take the monster on, some though have paved parking. either way, im heading out there this summer.
