Title: Noisy breather valve ?????

the engine breather valve on my 750ss is now very noisy and leaks a bit the breathers on my other 2 dukes are silent ,, should i change it or examine and repair ????/

maybe your piston rings are worn so you hear the blow by gases?

The reed may be broken.
But 'razor's thought is a good one.

I haven't seen that happen, but you've got a talent that way.  :P

There is no problem the breather is OK i saw Alf the ducati racer and specialist today and he said that as it is early 1991 model they make that noise the later 1996 up have a different breather he said the bike is running very sweet and sounds good . i can if i want put later breather on if i want it silent . the oil weep is just mist nothing serious , i will try the breather from my M750 its 2000 year see if its quieter , if that workks I will change the breather.
