[thumbsdown]: Palisades, right lane after Exit 14, but before Exit 15 -- huge, deep, 1 lane wide deep pothole.  Use the inner lane instead.
Glad I am running a couple of PSI higher these days to protect the rims...

[thumbsup]: The west half of CR-106 is now open after a two year repair.  Tarmac like smooth, black ribbon!  Good times!

Series of bumps always seems to be getting worse every year right after the newark airport tolls on 78 west in the express lane You'll hit this if you're coming out of the lincoln tunnel and continue into jersey. Had a violent full on tank slapper after hitting one, almost threw me off the bike, chipped some paint off the tank violent.

Williamsburg bridge; Manhattan bound, long ridged holes all lanes..  bikes can maybe avoid it but cages can't.  Careful since it makes 4 wheelers jerk the side..

Sky scrappers (sic) are built by private developers with profit motive.
Roads are maintained by our financially-challenged governments.

They are starting a lot of the patch work. So watch out for closed lanes making traffic and black tar gravel (since the stuff they use sucks)

6/2/11

the section of road before the toll on the Henry Hudson north to the Saw Mill is under construction and very bad right now.  stay in the left lane to avoid the worst of it, the middle lane is scary with pot holes... had 3 cars slam on their brakes in front of me when they were trying to slow down for them.

[thumbsdown] LIE resurfacing around Flushing Meadows.  No tarmac, surface grated down to concrete.
