Title: Staintune exhaust question Post by: rideserotta on March 14, 2011, 03:26:57 PM I have the chance to buy Staintune slip-ons for my m620. They are from a guys M900i and he said they should work. He's local and is wiling to let me put them on to check them out. It's a hassle if they don't work but just in time lost. Couple of questions.
- What are the odds this will work? - stayintune advertises that they don't need ecu remapping. Any experience? - they don't come with baffles. They have been removed and lost. Can they be purchased? I've been looking at Termi and MIVV for a point of reference. This is just a really good deal and if they sound good and work.... i've used them without mapping (on a M900) mine were mechanical baffles with no quiet insert. probably easier to make one than buy one. Title: Re: Staintune exhaust question Post by: rideserotta on March 14, 2011, 03:36:20 PM How would you make them?
Title: Re: Staintune exhaust question Post by: JEFF_H on March 15, 2011, 07:59:47 AM have a custom exhaust shop fab some up
they are usually just an additional tube that goes in the end to make the exit smaller. is there a hole where the baffles was attached? |
