Had stock bar with crg mirrors.
Bought clip ons and want to remove the crg's from the old bars and move them to the new clip ons.
What's the best way to remove the adapters that were holding the crg mirrors from the old bars? Can it be done without damaging them?
I have no idea what brand adapters they were. Bought the bike with them.

I think there is usually some kind of metric screw on the end that can be loosened in order to remove them. Do you have such a thing on there? You may also have a screw cover on there. At least that's how my rizomas are.

both sides are a bit cracked from what i can see. i see no screw. im thinking of just installing the bar end again and trying to yank it out. wondering if there is an easier, better method.
The caveman approach is always my first instinct. I would suggest reinstalling the mirrors as you said. I would see if you could unscrew them out instead of yanking at first, just in case there is something to mess up. Also though, I couldn't completely tell from your pic, but you have tried fishing down into the adaptors to see if there is some type of screw that tightens it into the bars? Usually that is how they work. I found a picture of one that is different from the one you have, but is also for crg mirrors on a monster:

As the screw is turned, that silver colored part expands out so it will grasp the bar.
Also, if you are going to try the brute force method, you may want to spray some kind of lubricant inside there in case it helps.
Thanks DC. Wasnt aware of how they worked which is why I was stumped. Rethreaded the barend, attached a crescent wrench and hammered it out. Tried what you said but after I took it out, it was obvious the previous owner overtightened them and they got stuck.

Glad you got them out. For future folks reading this thread in a similar predicament, a dead blow plastic hammer is great for hammering these out and won't mar the surface.
