Okay, so I've did a search and looked around, but haven't been able to answer my questions on my own, so I'm posting here.
I want to remove my pressure plate, clean it up, paint it black, and throw it back on with some red spring caps and stainless springs.
Is this just a case of removing the cover and backing out the 6 screws holding the caps and springs in, and then assembling in reverse (leaving the cover off completely off course)?
If not, what should I know about this seemingly easy operation?
Thanks,
Norris
thats all there is. the only trick is that there is a small triangle on the pressure plate, that hole that it points to need to be in line with the post that has a slot in it.

Thanks He Man.
You still in NYC?
For now!!!!
also, when you put the screws back on they only need to be finger tight +. You dont need to crank it, you will end up breaking a post.

Yeah, the spec is only something like 7Nm - which almost isn't finger tight
