looking to have my front carbon fender re-cleared on my s4rs. is there an easy way to get it off? looks like i have to remove the front wheel and slide it down and off that way?
You should just have to unbolt it and pull the fender off.
seems like a stupid question.
the carbon is not as flexible as plastic, so it wont flex enough to pull thru the forks
LOL I can't imagine anyone having to remove the wheel to pull a fender. I know the RS uses a different mount but still. It comes off easy, you're overthinking it.
Seems dumb, but I called my dealer, and I do have to remove the front tire and drop the fender out.
I gotta see a picture of this thing.
Every Monster fender I've ever seen came off with four fasteners in five minutes with a beer break.

Dealers don't always know wtf they're talking about. Just sayin'. Somebody with an RS needs to chime on in.
The S4R with the radial mounted calipers have fenders that mount in the front and behind the fork legs, much like the 999 which also must have the wheel removed. Your dealer might be right [roll]
its carbon fiber, not pussyfiber. im pretty sure if you threw a cloth between it and the fork you could yank it out easily.

I'd just take the wheel off and go from there.
That's a 999 fender and it looks like one would have to remove the wheel if one were uncomfortable squezing that rear part together to get it off. The stock S4RS fender is different, looks easier to do.
This blows me mind!
Unbolt. Lift. Turn 90 degrees laterally. Rotate parallel to the ground. Should slip right off.
