Title: Monster under seat exhaust straps
Post by: muskrat on April 05, 2011, 07:51:27 PM
Ok, I finally got tired of looking at the Termis sticking way past my tail chop so I lobbed-off 4 inches to match the rear of the frame.  Much better IMO but now the straps kinda dwarf the looks of the smaller cans.  I have the under tail exhaust.  Does anyone know another manufacturer that makes single straps instead of the double straps that come with Termis?
Thanks.

I'll look at JC Whitney but that catalog makes my mind spin

Here's a pic for reference

Personally, I think they look fine.

I'm with Hacker, Muskrat.  You probably want the double strap to distribute the load, the Termi being CF and with all the vibes and all that.  Have you considered blackening it?  I painted mine satin black with Rustoleum and it is holding up well and not very noticeable.

Well I'm probably just going to have to live with it for a little while until I either find something or get used to it.  ;)

Muskrat, did shortening your cans change the tone or volume? I finally chopped my tail and the Termis are way too long now.

lilmonster, it did a bit but nothing ridiculously loud.  In fact, I think they sound sharper.  I took 4 inches off.

Thanks Bergdoerfer.

I do csorin.  ;D

Love the paint and tasty trimmings.

Thanks.  Just need to powder coat the rear spring red and the rear sets will be done in black.  I'm done after that but as is always the case I'll troll this board and find more useless bits that need to be accommodated.  The cheapest mod so far has been to dye the belt covers black.
