Title: Replacing brake leverl/pedal Post by: Cher on April 06, 2011, 03:16:25 AM I have a new CNC adjustable brake pedal part for the 999. It doesn't look terribly complex installation-wise but are there any little minefields I need to be aware of? ;D Title: Re: Replacing brake leverl/pedal Post by: swanny on April 06, 2011, 04:17:54 AM Make sure the rod that goes up into the brake cylinder is not too far inside of the cylinder after you replace the lever. This happened to me when I switched my rearsets over from the S2r to the S4RS and once the brake fluid heated up it could not expand so the calipers start rubbing on the disc....not good. Maybe put a mark on it currently and make sure the mark is in the same place after putting the new lever on.
Hope all is well with you and the rest of the folks here. Take care, Swanny Title: Re: Replacing brake leverl/pedal Post by: TresGatos on April 06, 2011, 09:20:09 PM I've got new levers coming from EBay as I dropped
the Hyper, so I'll have a try at making another mod. [bang] Title: Re: Replacing brake leverl/pedal Post by: CajunR on April 07, 2011, 05:12:25 AM Ouch! No injuries to you, I hope? :-\
