Hey guys,
Was messing around in photoshop and tried to pre-vis a Street Triple with a 696 headlight and gauge cluster. Also did some clip-ons, low mount exhaust, tail chop, passenger peg chop, and smaller Triumph accessory radiator covers. If it's possible to switch out the Triple headlight, I would rock this bike.

Wow, it does look nice
+1, totally hate the Triumph dual headlights; however I think it would look even better with an original Monster headlight, bucket & ring blacked out of course...
I am still not used to the new headlight of the monster, but i got to admit that looks good.
i do like the Triumph headlight. Love it for those night rides. Will have to see the new S3 headlight design in person

Road it. Looks much better with the windshield.
Yeah, the new Street headlamps are a bit much without the windshield. Totally naked, I prefer the dual round headlights.
I'm not sure how you'd get this to work on a Triumph. The lights use a completely different mounting solution. Triumphs attach to the frame, whereas Monsters, at least the old ones, attach to the fork U-Bracket. I'm also not sure if replacing gauges are as involved as the Ducati immobilizer fiasco.
It looks pretty good. I'd also like to see what it would look like with the older, dare I say classic, Monster headlight.
And as far as the gauges are concerned, I'd stick with the stock ones that Triumph use. That analog tach is nice.
it looks like a brutale basically to me... not that i dont think it looks good though

Yup, the Brutale was the influence. I prefer the 696 headlight though. The way it rides ride up to the forks. Probably the only slanted headlight I've seen that actually integrates into a bike.
Here's the Triple with an old Monster headlight and the stock 675 gauges lowered a bit. Sorry the angle is off a bit, but you get the idea. Feel like it loses the modern edge of the 696 gauge/headlight combo:

I love the sound of the Street Triples, but am a sucker for the looks of my old Monster. Could be a next bike in a few years when the funds are available. I'm still in my first year of riding, and for now, I've been slowly fixing up my 620 and learning how to ride. Figure I've got plenty of time to get into a more powerful and expensive bike.
my god.. it looks wicked! great job. id ride one.
the newer light works better with the angles of the triple with the tank i think it looks great.
like all things, if you pay someone i'm sure they can fabricate up something that looks exactly like the photo, question is how much time and money to do it is all that there is.
i have a brutale so of course i think the brutale idea is good. but everyone is different
I have always liked the dual round headlights on the Street Triple (not the weird new shape). I would actually prefer them to the headlight on my 796.
The 696 headlight looks surprisingly good on the Triple. It almost looks as if it was meant to be. Good work! [thumbsup]
If Triumph would offer the Speed Triple that looked like that, I would probably buy it.

Considering the amount of customization and modification some of us do to our Monsters, I would think adapting a round headlight to fit the Triple wouldnt be that big a deal.
That's what sheet metal is for [thumbsup]

That would be some really heavy modification. Have you looked at how the headlight and cluster are mounted on the Speed Triple?
I like it - makes the bike look very modern.

I agree, the angular look of the bike really lends itself to the Monster headlight. I'm another that also thinks dual headlights might look better on the new monster.
One of my best friends rides a Street Triple R. I think the dual headlight set up on it make it really ugly. I agree with Duccarlos though, if Triumph made a street triple that looked like that I would probably buy one.
Looks nice! i'll ride it [thumbsup]
Hey that looks better than on a monster! Seriously I like it a lot. Nice job!

No, havent seen one up-close so just making a WAG [roll]
Not attached to the forks. There is a bracket (or something) that extends from the steering stem.

now the question is... is there anything that can make this look better?

The Triple looks good with the monster headlight. Looks much better then the newer dual set up.

I think I may be the only one, but I like the way it looks.

the fact that LSL has a 400$ kit tells me it can probably be done at home for >100$ and an afternoon in the garage.
Yup, I still **SERIOUSLY DISLIKE** the "new" Monster headlight...
But, I dislike it somewhat less when fitted to the Triumph as on the first photo.
As far as the 'Priller goes... Butt Ugly. Looks like it's intentionally trying to take that title from the DB4 Mantra... [puke]
