Title: Monster 1100evo reviews Post by: thought on April 13, 2011, 11:53:54 AM http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/ducati/2011-ducati-monster-1100-evo-review-90723.html (http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/ducati/2011-ducati-monster-1100-evo-review-90723.html)
they like it... but what's interesting is this: "What the Monster EVO does share with the Diavel is its “race-like” slipper clutch, which incidentally is not the same as the APTC slipper clutch in the Monster 696, 796 and Hypermotard 796." so it has a true slipper clutch now? and here is one from ash on bikes: http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/ducati-monster-1100-evo-review (http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/ducati-monster-1100-evo-review) which also explains the diff with the new clutch: "The clutch is a variation on the ADTC Adler Power Torque design used on several other Ducatis, which has a self servo action that effectively ‘screws’ the friction plates together when the transmission is under load, and pushes them apart on the overrun for a slipper action. It means softer springs can be used and the lever action as a result is lighter. The clutch is now wet where older 1100s had dry versions." I want this... bad... I've been playing a specific MMORPG on and off since 2004. I'm in the process of preparing the accounts and virtual assets for sale, for real $$, so that I may have my down payment for this bike. I'm also cleaning out my garage via craigslist. :P Title: Re: Monster 1100evo reviews Post by: z0mb1e_DUC on April 20, 2011, 09:00:40 AM Last line from the below Cycleworld review caught my eye. Haven't seen this anywhere else.
"Increased valve adjustments duration—from 7500 to 12,000 miles—also means less time spent dormant for this most volcanic Monster." http://www.cycleworld.com/motorcycle_roadtest/first_rides_articles/11q2/ducati_monster_1100_evo_-_first_ride (http://www.cycleworld.com/motorcycle_roadtest/first_rides_articles/11q2/ducati_monster_1100_evo_-_first_ride) Title: Re: Monster 1100evo reviews Post by: thought on April 20, 2011, 10:12:53 AM Last line from the below Cycleworld review caught my eye. Title: Re: Monster 1100evo reviews Post by: z0mb1e_DUC on April 20, 2011, 10:20:20 AM I couldn't find it on Ducati.com either. I figured someone on here would be able to shed light, if it were true.
