3012 miles and the original Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport on the front is showing threads on the sides. This mileage does not concern me so I am shopping for the best street tire I can find. Mostly canyon riding.
Considering the Michelin Pilot Power 2ct. Any comments on this tire.
Any thoughts on running one on the front and keeping the still good Bridgestone on the rear for a while?
Lots of folks run the Pilot Power 2CT, and like 'em.
I've never seen a front tire worn down to the cords, wow.
What tire pressures are you running?
loving the pilot road 2ct's good mileage, quick turn in, good handling in the wet.

+1... and it's also surprising that the rear didnt wear out first and is actually still in good enough shape to used.
Yeah, the 'A tech' at the dealer was also surprised with the side wall wear front compared to rear at 3012 miles.
I am running book spec tire pressures of 31 - 32 front and 32 - 34 rear
Have Pilot Road 2ct's and like them. Pilot Road 3's are now available; either get them or get a good price on 2's?
I know post is old, hope someone can give me a little insight, made the mistake of changing out only my rear tire, now my front one needs to be change. figure i'll try and get a used one to coincide when i need new rear later, but i'm finding alot of 120/70 when M696 spec out to 120/60. how big of a different would it be to go to 120/70. and to make this easier for future tire problems, should I switch to the normal tire size? (120/70-front and 180/55 rear). have anyone done this? one last question, what are you guys/gals favorite tires for mainly city tires? (Michelins pilot road 3, pirelli angel gt or any other options?
thank you in advance.
