Title: No clutch cover
Post by: theduc on April 17, 2011, 05:49:06 PM
I see that some people are running with no clutch cover and am thinking of doing the same. If you remove the clutch cover do you need to get shorter bolts to put back in the case or are the original ones ok to use. I just don't want to crack the case with bolts that are to long.
               Thanks .

You can use the originals.

I've done it.

Since you only have 4 posts, maybe you should investigate what happens when you run no clutch cover and dump the bike over on your right leg before you go this route [thumbsup]

I've done it... but it's cheaper to replace a clutch cover than a clutch drum / springs / retainers and possibly pressure plate when you accidentally drop the bike either stopped or moving.
