BTW: What sort of costs does one need to expect when going down the clip-on route out of interest? Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 18, 2011, 03:39:19 PM I would say about six hundred. Worth every penny. It transformed the bike. It steers like a sports bike now. [beer]

[beer] Well worth it for that price that's for sure [thumbsup]. Can you put a part list together as I may consider this myself one day soon. Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 18, 2011, 04:37:58 PM well, i put in some extras.. but all you need for this mod is
1. Speedy moto top triple clamp 2. woodcraft 3.5" risers (black) extra bling effect 1. rizoma rervoirs (monster parts) 2. rizaoma mirrors (monster parts) Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! No worries mate, anytime [thumbsup].Looking good too [clap]. I see you went for the same sized reservoirs for the clutch and the brake rather than the big/small combo. Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 18, 2011, 05:40:15 PM yea.. Monsterparts Jeff said alot of people are running that combo without issues. So far so good.. and it looks great.
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: patrick696 on April 18, 2011, 05:41:30 PM Nice work. Nice bike! It seems like the woodcrafts don't have as much of a downward angle as other clipons?
I have been wanting the Reverse Retros as well. Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 18, 2011, 08:14:40 PM yes, i was noticing the same thing. The woodcrafts seem to have almost no downward angle.. But they still feel alot mor agressive than handlebars.
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: Raux on April 18, 2011, 09:03:53 PM it kind looks like you have the risers on the wrong side giving the bars an upsweep instead of a drop.
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: IZ on April 18, 2011, 09:32:01 PM Looks good.
Just have to get rid of the frame stickers and black out the spring. ;) Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 19, 2011, 01:51:20 PM how do you black ou the springs? sounds like it woud look real nice!
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: slvrflme147 on April 20, 2011, 04:14:02 AM Looks real sharp. I've been planning on putting some 2.5" woodcrafts on my 796 but every pic I see has the been without the fairing. Is it possible to use clipons with the stock gauge fairing or am I going to have to lose it? If I do have to ditch it where can I get the cover for the instuments? The only ones I've seen for sale have been carbon and I'd rather stick with plain black. Thanks.
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: mattyvas on April 20, 2011, 05:01:28 AM Nice looking ride.
I run same size reservoirs on mine, never an issue. What pipes are you running I don't think I've seen them before. Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! The black plastic lower gauge cover should be in that box. If it isnt.... go hit your dealer up for it coz it should ship with the bike.Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: slvrflme147 on April 20, 2011, 05:44:47 AM Guess I'll be paying another visit to the dealer, only box of goodies I got was a set of corse skins. Thanks for the info ungeheuer.
Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on April 20, 2011, 10:44:56 AM Akrapovic there obnoxious loud.. Sets off car alarms.. But they really do sound awesome. I've compared them against termis. They definetly are a little louder..and have a deeper growll .

Might be worth checking this out. I see what Raux is saying. The instructions state there is a 'W' on one clipon because they are LR specific. Do you remember checking for that? Title: Re: Clip-on Mods on white m1100! Post by: polivo on May 03, 2011, 02:25:00 PM you guys are right.. i took a real close look at it today.. looks like my friend installed risers backwards, which caused 0 drop angle. Ive gottne used to it tho.. Im wondering if its even worthwhile changing now.
