Title: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: t-habb on April 19, 2011, 12:26:33 AM I just got an '06 S2R 800, only 5k miles and completely stock. Can't wait to deck it out, but I don't know which exhaust to go with. The Arrow or the Termignoni? Full System or slip on? Why? Thanks everyone...
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: Slow Guy on April 19, 2011, 12:38:48 AM There are sooooo many options out there! I think I might be alone but i love the Termis, alot of folk don't like em for various reason but me likey. Great sound (when ya cut 7" off em at least), good quality, and they hve been working with Uncle Duc forever and 3 days!!!Arrow are pert dang nice as well. Seriously it comes down to what you want. Keep in mind ya get more hp (usually) with a full system as opposed to just the slips as well as a nicer sound overall. Now I will shut up cause I have danced completely around the question without helping much...but that's what I do.
that is all nothing follows Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: slauster on April 19, 2011, 04:14:52 AM Don't forget about the Zard! I had them on my 2005 800 s2r and loved them!
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: corey on April 19, 2011, 09:04:53 AM ZARD.
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: stopintime on April 19, 2011, 09:10:31 AM Your bike is EURO2 spec, which means it can take slip ons without needing to do much with the fueling (no Power Commander, no Ducati Performance ECU)
If you get a full system and possibly an open air box cover, you will need to get some work done. Without, the bike will run lean and probably not very smooth. Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: t-habb on April 19, 2011, 10:25:07 AM Thanks [thumbsup]
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: booger on April 19, 2011, 11:30:42 AM Go on YouTube, watch the best quality videos of all the systems available. Termi, Arrow, Zard, what have you. It will become glaringly obvious that the meanest sounding and best looking exhaust by far is the Arrow Full System. That system RIPS in a way that none of the others can match.
Termignonis are way overpriced, don't fit well, and have a crude look. Zards are cool, but you have to be into the side by side configuration, something I'm definititely not into for the single swingarm bikes. None of them sound remotely as badass as the Arrows. I've owned the Termis and hated them. The fit was shitty and I was unimpressed with the look. I cored out my stock mufflers and use a midpipe now. Sounds just like the Termis, but I'm pining for the Arrows currently. (http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk201/rockaduc/P5150059.jpg) Termi full system, open airbox, and DP ecu. Runs like a top, fueling is flawless. Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: Kirk Allen on April 19, 2011, 09:56:43 PM Termi's forever! [moto]
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: Mojo S2R on April 22, 2011, 08:47:39 PM One more vote for Termi [thumbsup]
Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: cobrajet on April 24, 2011, 03:35:19 AM I have the Termi pipes but with a Leo Vince two into one. Great sound down low by quiet on the road. I wanted to expose the rear wheel as much as possible but stay with a high exhaust. Runs much smoother than stock with no ECU mods, lid on. bill

Running my S2R1000 with the stock ECM, disconnected O2 sensor, riding with or without the airbox lid makes no difference other than a nice roar from the intake. I have no popping on deceleration, she runs way better without the O2 sensor in the loop... one thing to consider with Termi v Arrows , if down the line you decide to tail chop the Termi hang out the back a long way and will need trimming IMO. Where as the Arrows have a staggered length following the wheel that looks better . Arrows sound nasty and raspy great finish v Termi deep bass ,clear coat can break down under UV exposure and oval shape not to my taste. I have two monsters one with Termi the other Arrows full system I prefer the later. Caboose nice S2R1K [thumbsup] Title: Re: S2R 800 Exhaust Post by: eyemd on July 27, 2011, 04:49:17 AM S2R800 2006, Arrows full system, k&n open airbox, upgraded racing ECU. sounds really great and the airbox... starts to howl at 6k rpm onwards
