Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: DucatiTorrey on April 21, 2011, 05:47:23 PM i had to wait 4 months for them to come from italy when i got my bike, maybe its the usual?
Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: SwampMonster on April 21, 2011, 07:08:33 PM We found them state side from Pro Itaila and received them just the other day. Went to install the ECU and got somewhere 30 or so error codes(faulty ECU), so the reason i was asking was that they offered to buy a new ecu from anyone who had it stateside instead of waiting the additional 2-3weeks that its gonna take for it to come in from overseas just anxious to ride.

Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: emanon on April 23, 2011, 06:12:45 PM I initially wanted termis for my '09 1100S but when they were backordered and I could not get a firm delivery date I started investigating other options. I ended up going with the H Competition Rodan underseat exhaust and have been very happy with my decision. Thread here:

Hope you can get it figured out fast and get back on the bike [moto] +1 you own an expensive machine. Temis aren't that much more money than boomtubes, zards or arrows. I got my slip ons when i got the bike for 1150 or 1200 i think? If i went the zard route ,then paid to have my ecu reflashed to match the dp ecu, you pretty much there. they sound great and look great imo Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: SwampMonster on April 25, 2011, 01:47:12 PM Allow me to clarify if you notice in some of my post the word we is used that is because I have a 1995 m900 with full termi's that I adore (check out my profile pic) the 1100s that is being talked about is my dads bike. He has run into all this trouble. Being that pops is my riding buddy and that he isn't a member of DMF i suggested we tap the forum as a resource to try and track them down. So for the record no termi hate quite the opposite nothing but termi love over here just trying to get him back out on the road. Regardless thanks for all the suggestions.

If i went the zard route ,then paid to have my ecu reflashed to match the dp ecu, you pretty much there. they sound great and look great imo Correct, the bike is money, and the pipes tend to be too. No one complains about the cans or the cost of termi so much, as they do the quality level. For 2800, for the 1100 FULL system, you get an ECU, a set of header back pipes, and airfilter stuff. The welds look like a 5 year old made them. Many of the systems have errors, or poor fitment, and often exhaust leaks pop up around seals, because of poor fitting. I've even seen on the older 4v model, headers incorrectly welded and/or with holes from the factory. They make a good looking/sounding product, but tend to come up short on quality control. When you pay more, you should expect more of something, and often, Termi doesn't give that extra directly (the ecu is the extra) Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: muskrat on April 25, 2011, 07:41:01 PM Don't forget that the resin will fade quickly so you will need to plan on spraying automotive clear if you want them to look good after a year in the sun.
Title: Re: Termi's for 1100s Post by: SwampMonster on April 25, 2011, 08:43:07 PM No one over here was ever conplaning about the price. After all the price was known when they were ordered I was just saying that i would expect a little more quality control for said money.
