Dolph,

No, kind a wish they were.
It's a 848 punched out to 1040cc w. a fabricated Exhaust that somebody in Louisville is putting together.
Dolph :)

I thought it might be part of the cooling system or intake charge cooling? looks like you can see a little bit of silicon hose peeking out from behind.
That thing in the front...... interesting
[popcorn]
Ed and the gang at Commonwealth do very nice work! [evil]

That's the crank case breather.
The guy who does the aluninium work and built that exhaust is out of this world good!
Dolph, nice to see some custom build on your stuff.
How about starting a ground up 1 1/3 scale Ducati for you :D

It's a Crank Case Breather .
I'm sure since it's Alex's bike and he knows his sh*t.
It's definitely not a Celestion green dot from a '68 Marshall Cab !

is this really how it looks under the fairing? or is this custom?
That pipework is pure artistry with a TIG torch! Those cans are truly phenomenal. I can only imagine the thunder that emanates from those.

So true.
I speak from experience. My M750 has mufflers, but due to modifications, the mufflers are little more than softened straight pipes. It's such a wonderful, if a bit loud (yup, ear plugs are a good thing) sound.
JM
I'm with you. I have boomtubes. [beer]
I thought these Full Race Termis on the 1098 R were loud w. no db killers !

I've never looked at an 848 closely, but it looks all custom to me. Looks like they started out with a GP Tech fairing bracket and Woodcraft clipons.
What's wrong with stock grips?

I heard a 1098 with Termi's once and it was like a lion's roar. [thumbsup]
This one just looks mean and probably sounds even better.
The owner of my local Yamaha/KTM dealer has his immaculate 1098R on the show floor outside his office (for sale, if you have the jing), which has all the goodness. He fired it up for me one day when I was in there checking out a Duke 690, and the sound of the big-tube Termis booming in the showroom was rather wood-inducing.....
