i bought my s2r1k in Nov of 96. it spent the whole winter torn down to a frame and engine while i tried various ways of hiding the wiring. had the entire wiring harness out of the bike 3-4 times. if you are serious about it, and want to do it yourself, try the following (but do it in the winter, when you have time) a) remove everything-- seat, tank, air box, battery, headlights, instruments......everything b) disconnect the wiring harness from all connections on the bike, and pull it forward, and off the bike. there is plenty of extra wiring on the stock harness to re route stuff. you will have to slice into the plastic sleeve that covers most of the wiring harness to get enough slack, but its worth it IMO. no start experimenting. expect to start over a few times, and have fun if you were to go to pod filters, you would have even more room to hide wires, but that is a mod in itself.... I know, i ment how much would you be willing to pay for one since it doenst exist. Ive seen pics of it done, alot of people perfer to get the majority of the wiring over the top cylinder where the belt gear is. There is also teh starter motor wire that gets wraped around the back of the side case instead of front, the oil cooler that goes to the left side instead of splitting up in the front. |
