Title: New 696 owner
Post by: shiv on April 24, 2011, 10:50:01 PM
Hey guys,
Just picked up a 2011 696 a couple weeks ago from Motor Cafe (sunnyvale, ca).  It's replacing an Aprilia RS250 that i rode off and on since 2003.  The Aprilia was a great riding bike.  But being a 2 stroke race bike it was pretty uncomfortable.  Not too mention not exactly street legal.

So the 696 is my first Ducati and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.  Still breaking it in (300 miles so far). But that didn't keep me from installing a few mods.  Most of them sourced from Jeff at monsterpart.com:

-Evotech rear fender eliminator
-LeoVince LV1 pipes
-14T front sprocket
-Barracuda belly pan

Before:

After:

The sprocket made a nice change in ride-ability.  The LV exhaust (with 1 of the two db killers installed) sounds awesome.  And I'm happy with what the belly pan and fender eliminator did for looks.  I'll start tuning the EFI system after the engine is fully broken in.  Thanks for reading...

cheers!

Nope sorry... I sold it back to CA Speedsports a while back.  I think owner there has a few of them in his personal collection.  You might want to give them a call.   They are located in Livermore.

actually if you check the Accessories & Mods sections you'll see a lot of this stuff with detailed reviews and even some tips on mounting/painting etc.

also, the sponsors on the left sell most of the stuff you see on here, not pushing them, just saying.

DucatiTorrey wasn't being rude, just letting you know that a quick search will give you more information on most every topic you can think of.
