I purchased one when I was riding a bunch in San Fransisco when I was out there for 2 years for school but never got around to putting it on due to the lack of time and tools with me at the time. Now that I am back in Texas I feel its less important but was curious since I didnt see it in the DYI section.
I know the part eases clutch lever effort, but is there any draw back to having it on the bike at all?
Also if I wanted to install it myself now, since I am thinking about changing out clutch hydraulic fluid too, how much of a pain in the a$$ is this install and job, as far as bleeding it and getting it going from there?
Thanks for the help.
definitely a helpful mod with the clutch pull. i've had one on every monster i've owned and can't see doing without. as for the install, i'm pretty certain it's just a flush, bolt on, and bleed situation.
Reduced effort is accomplished by increasing the cylinder bore. As cylinder bore increases stroke (push rod travel) decreases. This can lead to partial disengagement, but if the clutch is properly bled this should not be a problem.
