Title: Hi Vikings!

I think this must be the Colonial Williamsburg of Viking ships.
But more Danish. I'd still want to visit.

Video link of ship buildin' below. I'd like to be as accurate with an axe as these guys, but some of the "straddle the beam and whacking the axe near my bits" technique makes me uneasy. That's a lot of wood chips for one plank, but maybe Viking's didn't care back then. Or had some other uses for a ton of wood chips.

The Vikings didn't seem to be in a hurry [cheeky]

I'm told I have Viking ancestry in the woodpile. (I have yet to actually verify)

We're methodical and plot our conquests wisely and with great thought.  ;)

That is a very cool place to visit.   [thumbsup]

It's even cooler to go out on the fjord in one the replicas that they have made.

While studying in Copenhagen, I lived in Roskilde and visited the museum many times.

There is also a real nice youth hostel down on the waterfront right near the museum.

Well worth the 20-30 min train ride out of Copenhagen.
