Title: M900 Carb Kit Question
Post by: dropstharockalot on May 15, 2011, 02:51:43 PM
I tried a couple searches but could find an exact answer.... hopefully I'm not derby-ing too badly.

Can anyone confirm if this carb kit fits a 1996 M900?  http://www.patternbikeparts.com/productinfo.asp?ProductID=3283  (http://www.patternbikeparts.com/productinfo.asp?ProductID=3283)
I've fired an e-mail across the pond to their customer service, but figured someone on here may know.

Story thus far -
I ordered a rebuild kid from e-bay (TourMax 220836).  Based on the picture I guessed that it would only allow me to do one float bowl, but I asked the seller to confirm.  The seller stated that the kit would include all the necessary parts for both float bowls... trustingly, I ordered one kit instead of two.  And, as suspected, the kit only contained enough gaskets for one float bowl.  So I'm halfway though the re-build, chasing another kit... awesome.

A google search of the TourMax item number returned the kit in the link, and the pic on the website is a dead ringer, and I'm pretty sure someone stated that the Super Tenere / FZR750 kit matches the Monster kit in another thread (hence the searches...), but I'd love some confirmation.

Any assistance is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I think that kit will work since both Ducati and the Yamaha TDM both use 38 BDST carbs.

I possess both.  Multiple hard drives, only one head.  This bit of info was in my head ;D
