Title: 3M tankslapper
Post by: rideserotta on May 18, 2011, 06:11:07 PM
I wanted to protect my tank from zippers and belt buckles but hate look of traditional tank protectors. After talking to Jeff at monsterparts.com I bought the 3M tank slapper and have to say that I love it. Can't tell from 2 feet away and it protects the top and sides of the tank. Application was simple.

+1 [thumbsup]
I did mine 3 weeks ago, with the same stuff from Jeff.
Best to watch the video on the tank slapper site on how to fit. http://www.thetankslapper.biz/installation.html (http://www.thetankslapper.biz/installation.html)

I put one on my bike a couple of years ago. Saved my paint when I ended up carrying an alternator home inside the front of my jacket.

It works great and Jeff is the man.

Do they have any grippies like Stomp Grips or are they smooth?

Completely smooth. You have to look really hard to tell that anything is there. It's almost invisible.
