^^^^ Way to make a guy feel good.

Zach, have you run your bike any since painting those pipes?  I'd be curious to see how the paint held up.  Especially $4 paint :).

Yes I have ran her and the pipes are holding up just fine, unfortunately... She was leaking oil really bad and I need to get her in the shop. So I am on a 250 scooter right now :p

Well I am thinking the previous owner painted the tank because I have had a hard time finding any tanks that are similar. The problem is, the clear coat is coming off and the top of the tank seems to have a lot of either sun damage or maybe the previous owner had a tank bag that was left on for years? I'm not sure but I would like to get her repainted. I was thinking either black or red, I've seen some really cool yellow bikes but I think I rather go with traditional red or an all blacked out bike.

Tank looks awesome in your pic.

Silver tanks on Monsters appeal to me for whatever reason, and are somewhat rare.

If I had to paint my tank, I'd stay away from red or black, so common (for a Monster anyway).
I've seen some nice shades of green, maybe somthing sparkley.

Well the thing is, I kinda want common for tank color, There is so few monsters where i'm at anyways. My friend's mom has a Monster and she has a pearl white paint scheme. I'm not the biggest fan of it.

pipes look good.  i'd be curious to see how long that paint holds up too.  i tried that on an old bike of mine and only made it about 200 miles until the paint started to burn/flake off.

Well it was just kinda a temporary thing till I got a job and could afford new pipes.

Two years ago I bought a pair of  stock pipes off EBay for $50 for my 900ie, performed a partial core on them and shortened them about 3 inches in length. I then painted the aluminum 'sleeves' of them with a flat black hi-temp paint. They have held up very, very well and look as good as they did initially.
