"A Gravity Bike? It is what it sounds like, a bicycle that goes down hill and otherwise has not much use. These machines are a joy to ride almost soothing; just the sound of the wind and road. Speed varies depending on the hill. We regularly get up to 50mph but speeds up to and beyond 80mph can be accomplished. While the speeds may be questionably legal, these machines are legal on all public roads where bicycles are allowed. "
80mph.
Damn.

Baby Light Cycles!!
Very cool! [thumbsup]
This would be fun. Reminds me of the guys that used to ride down the Crest road back home on skate boards with hay bails set up in the corners.

I noticed that too lol
so...the brakes on that thing...anybody notice the severe lack of them?!?!...I don't know about you guys, but I'd like to have a handle on some serious disc brakes if the need arises for me to have to stop with any real need from a speed of 30 or more MPH...not those side pull or cantilever small pad rim brakes...
The bike in the first vid had rim brakes, and the bike in the ivd had disk brakes.
And last time i checked we already have gravity bikes

I wonder if he thought about the fact that the last video of him could very well be of him in a leather suit, bent over like he's ready to take it in the ass, flying down a mountain....

It's sheer pissed off-ness. I ride a local area where the speed limit is 20. Problem is, there's a long relatively straight hill in this section. You can easily do 40+ on ANY bicycle. I've had a couple conversations with the Sheriff over that hill.

Can they cite you for it?
Not sure, but since it is in a "private assembly" they can ban me from being there since I'm not a resident of the Assembly.

For speed - Yes - you can be cited for a bicycle as stock for speeding, as well as receive a DUI. At least in the USA you can.
