Title: Rake/trail on a 696 Post by: Link on May 21, 2011, 09:37:07 AM The only spec I can find for the 696 is the rake at 24 deg. but no trail numbers. Does anybody know the rake & trail numbers ?

Just so you understand I'm looking for the offset between the top & bottom triple (if there is one) as it's the angle of the forks not the steering head when talking rake & trail. I'm just curious as how the stock rake & trail compare to other sport bikes. If there is no offset on the triple then the 22.8 & 87mm puts it in a pretty good spot as you could change the geometry a fair amount in either direction without pushing the limits of what other bikes are set at. I think the superbikes are like 25mm. |
