Title: Integrated tail light Post by: George S on May 22, 2011, 09:51:44 AM I have an '04 S4R. I want to chop the factory tail and replace the tail light and turn signals with an integrated tail light. Does anyone have any recommendations for this project? And what kind of tail light do you recommend? I'm having trouble finding these.

The install was painless plug & play and front signals continued to work like a charm. A little time was need to zip tie the excess wiring, but I'm very happy with it. After the fact I installed some nice little front led units from Monsterparts and didn't even need resistors for those.

I'm def going to get one. Did you also chop the tail on the bike or no? I want to get rid of that black, plastic tail. Looks like I need to cut the part of the sub-frame on which the tail is mounted. Doesn't seem complicated...

Legality is a problem here with intergrated and no indicators as we have to have indicators at a prescribed distance apart. So what a few of us have done is splice in the indicator wires onto the motordynamics loom so you get the integrated and the indicator going off together , gets the attention of anyone behind and also keeps the void filled as without them it looks weird IMO. |
