Title: Countershaft sprocket reinstall
Post by: Grappa on June 15, 2008, 03:36:42 PM
Removed my countershaft sprocket and was wondering if there is a torque value for the bolts on the retaining plate.  I have a 2001 M900 with the floating style front sprocket.  Was also wondering if Napa Blue threadlock will be good enough for those bolts, or should I use the stronger Red version.  Thank you kindly!   ;D

I've got the factory manual for the '00 900.  It describes 5nM and 'lock 1' for those.  Lock 1 is a low strength thread lock.

So basically, hand tight and loc-tite blue.  Mine also have lock washers
