I didn't have the strength of will to attempt this on my own, so I paid a professional and I'm pleased with the result and the cost.

get a decal with "MONSTER" on it in the same style as the original PANTAH decal. I thought about doing that. but then again, i run with no covers at all.
out of interest will a pantah clutch cover fit i baby monster?

Nope. The clutch slave on the Pantah clutch cover is actually on the right side... Yours is on the left and uses a push-rod running through the transmission input shaft.

The old M600 and original M750 (pre1998???) have the pantah style engine with the old style clutch slave and wet clutch. there is
no reason to swap it with a pantah though, UNLESS you wanted to upgrade to a dry clutch (which was a
standard setup on the alazzurra and paso 750). afaik, the crank shaft is the same size/spec and the engine case will take the pantah clutch cover no problem.

That's cool, I didn't know those fit the small case monsters. Put me down as interested in a set too ;)

How owuld you go about upgrading to a dry clutch on one of these? I have a 97 M750, where would I find the parts for that?

[laugh] I had a feeling it would be pricey! I mentioned a dry clutch conversion to someone before and they said to just buy an M900 and avoid the hassle/cost involved.

pick up the side cover, the clutch parts and the cover and bob's your uncle.. either an alazzurra 650 or a paso 750
i'd put it at about 400-600 to find good pieces...

not necessarily.
i saw a fellow who basically angle cut the belt the cover (actually it was like an "S" curve, he did it with a scroll saw) and bolt the front half up, and the back half up, leaving an open "space" in between. it looked really slick. I will say however that i'm unsure if it was a larger case motor, or if he just routed out a slot and bolted them to a smaller motor anyway...
looked cool though.
this post is useless...
FML.
You're not crazy...
It was done by a friend of mine and that's how he got them to fit his 900...

Nope, no pic here, but he's still on the board (occassionally....) as 'm9hundo'.
