Title: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Anchorism on May 26, 2011, 02:34:41 AM I am currently living in the Kaiserslautern area of Germany, and was curious as to how many people are near me. I would like to meet up and ride with a good group of folks, and enjoy the windy country roads. Ive seen a few ducati's out and about on a near daily basis, and am hoping to get in touch. I know the weather isnt always in its prime, but if you ask me its looking great so far this summer! Hit me up! [thumbsup]

Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: DRKWNG on May 26, 2011, 01:29:17 PM I used to live in Hutschenhausen between 2003-2007, and LOVED the riding to the east of Kaiserslautern, and up the Mosel/Saar valleys!!
Raux still lives in the Kaiserslautern area, but is here stateside at the moment. Look him up and I'm sure you guys can get some good rides together. edit: http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=48453.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=48453.0) Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Raux on May 27, 2011, 02:15:18 AM I'm back in Germany.

Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Raux on May 28, 2011, 06:15:52 AM Just got back from there.
Stunt rider had a modified 696 with what must have been a 60T sprocket AND he has a stunt Diavel. a stoppy on a Diavel! But honestly saw a stock Diavel with Termis... hate the sound... to chopperish. But the D16 with the race exhaust they put on the portable Dyno... WOWOWOWOWOW [bow_down] THere were a few nice bikes. Saw a nice old SS roll in when I left as well as a TT. I met the president of the Ducati Owners Club Pacifica out of Portland and a member of the Manchester, England DOC All in all a good time. And FINALLY for the first time met a fellow DMFer - Anchorism Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Anchorism on December 20, 2011, 02:06:06 AM So i know its been a while since this topic has been messed with at all, however a few members of DMF are trying to set up a trip to Italy for Duc week. I figured it might be a good idea for the local Kaiserslautern riders to try and meet a few times between now and then. Also to get together to hang out and meet each other. Any ideas?

If that doesn't work, DaTony's in Kindsbach is quite tasty!! Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Raux on December 20, 2011, 02:59:33 AM Which one? Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Poca on December 22, 2011, 03:59:09 AM Hi,
I will move to Hannover end of next summer. Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Raux on December 30, 2011, 09:51:53 AM I talked to the owner of Garibaldi's in Landstuhl and he said no issues, but there's no private area, but during the week it's not so lively that we can't reserve a table a week in advance. i think the one side can host 10-12 people easy.
if we just want to meet for drink, there's the Cockpit in Landstuhl as well. It's a quiet and has a few cubby hole areas we can use for chatting as well. it's a bar instead of a restaurant. Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Anchorism on January 05, 2012, 02:26:30 AM They both sound good to me. I think it would probably be best to go have drinks the first time and see just how many people we would have attending. Then try and set up a day for dinner. Raux, do you have a rough idea of how many people you know could possibly make it?

Raux, do you have a rough idea of how many people you know could possibly make it? I only know you two here in K-town. I need to find the 848 Evo rider here on Panzer. I could reach out to the Germans that I know? But personally just want to stick with English speakers as the Germans do their own thing around here. I guess I'll stop by the Cockpit, see what day's available and then put an ad in RamsteinYardSales Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Ducampo7 on January 09, 2012, 09:18:14 AM Im in J, just let me know when!

He's in for a meet as well. Today's wednesday. so let's meet Sunday at the Cockpit say. 7pm. Let me know if that works. It also gives me time to hear from any other local riders. Title: Re: Germany Duc Riders Post by: Raux on January 19, 2012, 07:22:20 AM OK, I have a table reserved at the Cockpit at 7pm
I have more people who have contacted me from Spang, Ramstein and Heidelberg. Hopefully we can get a few to come. Ducampo7, thanks for the heads up you can't make it. I'll keep notes. I'm thinking about starting a FB group for American Ducati Riders in Europe... what do you think? |
