There wasn't any changed between the '99 model year and the 2000 carbed bikes was there? Ducati Omaha's list stops at '00
Thanks in advance
Somewhere in there the seat cutout changed.
To the point the seat won't fit or just looks kinda fugly? I've got a Sargent seat on mine now and it don't perfectly match up

There is a huge gap if you have an early seat and a later tank.
The tank thread might help.

I read it and it was pretty firm about the 93-99 and '00-01 cutout being different, so I passed on the fleabay tank. Guess we're back to doing it over the winter unless another '00 tank pops up
The seat change was indeed between '99 & '00, but you can swap the seat and all will be fine.
I just rebuilt my sergent seat and it almost cost me the price of a new one. After thinking about it today, were the DP tanks of than era different than "normal" tanks?
AFAIK the DP tanks followed the model years of production tanks.

I have a 1995 900c and the seat doesn't fit my tank so if a get a used 2004+ seat it will fit ?

More likely someone has already put a later seat on the bike.
Is the seat too short or long?

[bang]
It's an aftermarket tank put there by the precedent owner and the seat is to short
Then you need an '00 up seat.
tank's for the info [thumbsup]
