So I got a new smoke colored tail light with integrated turn signals. I figured I might as well chop the tail with the new light, so I clocked out a little early at the shop and went to town.
Here is the original look with the new tail light

Step 1: Find the closest set of hydraulic rescue tools (aka, The Jaws), and go to town.... just kidding of course!

Step 1: remove the seat

Step 2: remove the tail light and license plate along with all the plastic

Step 3: Make some brackets for the tail light

Step 4: Go to town on the frame. I measured, taped and hand cut the frame

Step 5: Make some license plate brackets

Step 6: Mount the tail light and license plate back on the bike

And viola! Put the seat back on and she's all done. I do need to put some plugs in the frame, but other than that, I think it turned out pretty good considering it cost me a grand total of $2 for the flat bar and about 45 minutes of my time.
