Title: Photo opp for an Italian restaurant anyone?
Post by: Asia1098 on June 16, 2008, 08:02:35 AM
I have a friend in Frisco that owns Isabella's Italian restaurant. It has a HUGE fountain in front of it and I mentioned this group and how nice it would look to have a picture with all the sexy Italian bikes around the fountain in front of his restaurant. He loved the idea and offered to cut us a nice deal for happy hour drinks and snacks if we can make arrangements to get our butts out to his place for some pictures. There is a nice outdoor patio facing the fountain.
Apparantly, he's lived in Italy before and mentioned that most restuarants have nice bikes parked out in front and it would make his place look more authentic. So, the plan is to possibly do some of our gatherings there and he'll give us special prices whenever we go....Just for us.  [beer]

So what do you guys and gals think? ;D

Here's the website:  http://www.isabellasrestaurant.net/

Ok, so what's a good time for this? The more, the merrier...and the better the picture will look! :)

We can go on Sundays too! They have a good brunch menu. They also have two TV's in the bar to watch racing if needed. :)

Do you guys want to do this after the Meunster ride this Sunday the 22nd??

Restaurant is located at Legacy and 121. If I'm correct, the restaurant faces North in the shopping strip and the fountain in a roundabout to the north. It is just across from The Silver Fox steak house (where I work) :).

Can someone up there do a little location scouting? The sun might be perfect 1st thing in the morning & suck at sunset, or vice-versa...
A quick snapshot at 1st & last light might help [thumbsup]

OK, I just passed by and took some pics around 12:30pm...

Fountain facing West:

Side and rear patio:

From the Silver Fox parking lot facing West (It would look really cool with no cars and all bikes around that fountain at night!) :

I work Wed- Sat nights. I'm off Sun-Tue. So that's pretty much my availability for the next week or so.

Well with that, my "Battering Ram", and a catapult, we can lay (Yeah, it's a pun...) siege to that place!!!  8)     [drink] [beer] [drink]

Are they Puggle friendly?  It would be handy during any siege to have a "secret weapon".

I'll go ahead and speak for the group. Thursdays are best.

Now that we've settled that, the group has also appointed me as this months alcohol benefactor. It's sort of like the "Employee of the Month Parking Space", except that whenever we're out and about, I NEVER have to pay for my own drinks. Thanks for the honor.  [thumbsup]

I'll be talking to the owner today...after work. I usually work on Thursday evenings, so I'll have to make arrangements to get that day off.
Let's shoot tentaviely for around 7:00-7:30 on Thursday, June 26th? How does that sound for everyone. Jap bikes are welcome too (They just won't look as sexy). ;D

On the other hand, for best results with fewer distractions in the parking lot, Sunday is the best. :)

Ah, I just realized that the Muenster ride is this Sunday and after riding all day in 95 degree heat I will probably smell and feel like I have spent the day in a dumpster. Not the best condition to hang in a nice restaurant. Any patrons downwind of me would never return. No biggie but I think I'll pass. Besides that way there's no chance a stray Jap bike makes it in the pic! [thumbsup]

"American expression meaning to be successful emphatically or quickly, especially in regard to sexual seduction, refers to the Australian-born actor Errol Flynn. His drinking, drug-taking and sexual exploits were renowned, even for Hollywood, but the phrase is said to have been coined following his acquittal in February 1943 for the statutory rape of a teenage svoloch."

Just goes to show you how much I know about these things.  Good job Count!

This is just a few miles from home for me, will be there, maybe just a bit delayed.  I will be on the way home from Austin Sunday, so hopefully traffic is smooth.

Well, this sorta falls on the exact wrong time for me. From about 3 or 4 until about 8 the wife and I will be at Hold Fast Tattoo's anniversary party enjoying their beer and bbq.

If it were earlier or later I coulda made it. If anything changes I'll try to hook up with some east siders and head on up.

It was Lane and myself among about 30 of the DFW sportbike riders .com group that represented the DFW DMF tonight.  The place was very nice and the area just right for bikers with Italian food and drinks and preferred parking.  We own the sidewalk.   [thumbsup]

We should do a meet there and a photo shoot.  I bet we can get the owner to hang our pic on the wall somewhere.  He will prolly go nuts when he sees all the Ducs in a row.

Thanks Lane and Charles for showing up.  [clap]

Turned out to be a very nice and managable crowd. I think I ended up counting 21 bikes. The pics are supposed to be put up on his website and he mentioned some will go on the walls of his restaurant. Cool!!!

I met a lot of new faces and introduced some new ones. I hope everyone enjoyed the evening.... I know I did.

Kenyon was impressed and offered us a special deal anytime we want to dine and drink at his place. Cdc is telling the truth...we own the sidewalk!  [thumbsup] TNDR anyone?

Here are the pics that he and I took. They all kinda look the same, but a little photoshop magic and it could really look GREAT!!!

I think we had a total of five Ducati's, one MV Agusta, one BMW, two Aprillas, and a bunch of jap bikes.

I hope everyone else enjoyed LYD's party!  [drink]

wanted to make this...but man, mindy and alan were seriously forcing me to eat an assortment of food including pork chops, brats, hamburgers, BRISKET, and corn on the cob....   [thumbsup]   they also forced me to spend copious amounts of time in the pool playing volleyball.  sounds like a good turnout though; hopefully i'll meet some of them at the next dinner.

Was thinking about making the trek up there, but we were at Hold Fast Tattoo's 5th anniv. party that afternoon and got a little too tipsy. Oh well, sounds like fun was had despite, I'm sure, the sad representation by the sport classic crew. Did any SCs make it up?

Barry, sorry I missed this (and Swanny's Dinner and Nora's B-Day and LYD's BBQ... Damn, this was a packed weekend  [laugh]) but sometime in the near future when we're all hem-hawin' around on where to have a lunch meet-up, throw Isabella's out there again; it looks like an awesome Duc hang-out.  And, I actually know exactly where it is, suburbanite that I am [roll]
