Title: Lowered 99 M900, want to bring it back to stock! Post by: smcdonn on June 05, 2011, 05:44:43 AM Alright guys, I've been doing some reading and just can't find much on the 900's as far as lowering goes. I bought a 99 M900 and the bike has been lowered, but I'm not sure how to bring the back end back to stock. The front they simply just bought some bar risers and dropped the forks in the clamps, but I cant seem to tell what they changed in the back, shock preload, center to center shorter with an internal spacer, etc. The "linkage" looks factory forged so I'm not thinking this was changed, and I can't find anyone that offers a lowering link anyways for this bike. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this 6' rider needs to get this thing off the ground.
Title: Re: Lowered 99 M900, want to bring it back to stock! Post by: ducpainter on June 05, 2011, 05:48:34 AM The only way to lower the rear of the older style monster is to screw the heim joints at the end of the hoop all the way in.
