Title: FOUND MAD MIKE from CycleMax- Doin Work this Sunday
Post by: TitanMonsterS4R on June 08, 2011, 11:41:25 AM
Just got a call from CycleMax and Mad Mike the Duc mechanic is doing work on my S2R this Sunday.  Just a heads up for anyone else who might need maintenance service....  Not sure what his schedule looks like but might give CycleMax a call to see if he can squeeze you in!

Thank you for posting this. I have been trying to get a hold of him so he can write up an invoice for the 12 mile service he did for me last fall. I'm gonna try sending him another email. Hopefully he'll continue to work on these bikes in the area!!

Heh, called him as soon as I saw this. Hope to get him to do the valves on the Monster. [thumbsup]

By the way, his shop has a pretty decent selection of tires and pretty good prices: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/mcy/2421017720.html (http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/mcy/2421017720.html)

I called down to the shop, but the guy who answered wouldn't let me talk to Mike.  He said he was going to relay a message though, but I haven't heard anything back.  Regardless, I sent Mike an email as well.

I had to work with CycleMax (owner Don) to get Mike working on my ride.  Mike does work for Don out of that shop.

for those that don't have a history on Don....Don is a peculiar bird...he used to own Cycles USA in Wheaton...he opened CycleMax partially because it was close to the warehouse where he had a lot of old inventory stored from the Wheaton store and he needed an outlet to sell off those items....there is more to the story...but Don is not the easiest guy to deal with, as he has his own way of doing things which may not necessarily follow our train of things...anyways...that is the uber short and sweet way of saying it...

Have dealt with him a handful of times.  Extremely hard to read at times but has generally been nice to deal with.
