Title: Termi for the M1100
Post by: danb. on June 09, 2011, 12:39:11 AM
Hi, I want to purchase Termi slip ons for my M1100. I found just the cans do I need an ecu and air filter or should I be fine to just put them on? Thanks for the help

IMO your M1100 will be fine with just the Termi cans.

Were you to buy Arrow, Leo Vince or any other slip-on cans you get no DP ECU or hi-flo air filter... just the cans.

And if you saved plenty $$ on the cans you could always have you stock ECU reflashed to DP spec to replicate the complete Termi kit.

I wouldn't doubt you could run just the cans, but the ECU does improve the powerband quite a bit. The air filter is something you could get at any time regardless of what exhaust you are running.

the ecu and air filter go hand in hand. more air more fuel.
the exhaust not so much part of that package.
in your future you can go ecu+filter, or even Powercommander V +filter
