I have about 23k on dry clutch, and 2x in last month or so, am having a problem where clutch is not fully engaging
I am able to get her in gear & go, but it is sketchy at slower speeds, ie slower traffic/stops = dicey
1st time it happened, was on long ride & issue cleared up, this time seems to be staying
took her in for tank recall, and had dealer take a look, they're telling me clutch pack is worn, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but would think that I would be having the opposite problem, ie slipping, if this was the case?
fluid has been bled/changed recently, no leaking from slave...
Bike is parked outdoors, but covered, and has been a pretty wet winter here, so moisture is likely a contributing factor...
I know 23k is a decent amount as far as clutch life on the low end, however I am not hard on clutch by any stretch...
So, here are my questions -
replace the pack, or might it be something else?
be lazy & have dealer do it, or take care of it myself?
any recommendations, as far as clutch packs - Barnett, Sureflex, or stay with stock...?
Unclear on what is going on, but I'm assuming what you're trying to say is your clutch is not slipping but not fully disengaging the driving member from the driven member.
There are air bubbles in the system. They are pesky and difficult to eliminate completely. If you have crush washers or bleeders leaking air into the system you will never get it bled properly.
You need to bleed it again and get all the air out.

A clutch is engaged when the lever is out and you disengage it by pulling the lever.
