Title: Quat D vs Arrow Slip-Ons? Post by: dubbedown on June 12, 2011, 09:40:23 AM Can anyone comment which has a better sound? Looking for a nice rumble... had Termi's before but looking for a Titanium set of slip-ons and these are the only 2 available for the S2R. All things being equal, I think I like the looks of the Quat D better (if I go the Arrow route, I'll probably remove the yellow Arrow logo via paint stripper). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what effect your Marving midpipe will have with the slips. I think one of the reasons the Arrow full sounds so good is that the diameter of the pipes after the headers gets bigger and follows through to the end, but maybe I'm full of it.
Fast By Ferraci sells de-badged Arrow full systems & slipons, or at least they put their own stickers on which can be removed easily with some dental floss. http://www.ferracci.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1024 (http://www.ferracci.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1024) (http://i413.photobucket.com/albums/pp211/doofwop/part_1024_f_12235956981.jpg) Title: Re: Quat D vs Arrow Slip-Ons? Post by: CDawg on June 14, 2011, 11:56:09 AM I have Quad D. Compared with Termi's, Quad D is not a deep. It is more mechanical...someone on the board once compared it to a P90 Mustang airplane...pretty close!
Also, I believe Arrow's are much louder than Quad Ds. If stock is 1 on a 10 point scale, Quad D is like a 3...my open clutch is sometimes noisier! LOL! |
