Title: S4R (99*) rear shock on an S2R 800
Post by: Ontario_Monster on June 13, 2011, 09:53:25 AM
Has anyone swapped out the standard rear shock to an S4R or a 99* rear shock with resivore,  and kept pictures of what needed to be modified on the frame?  Looks to me like I should only have to grind on of the tabs off the frame to get it to fit just wondering if anyone would chime in.

Cheers

I don't think you have to do any grinding but do you have to relocate the ignition coil.

I take that back read here..

i had to do the cut-n-grind when i did the swap.  Not a big deal and the results are worth it!

I was pretty sure I had seen that post before but when I did a search it didn't come up.

Thanks this is greatly appreciated and again this board rocks with the amount of information and knowledge that is available.

Cheers [drink]

I have a S4R shock for sale when someone's ready for the mod.
