Had the swingarm anodized for my S4RS project bike. I was told not to expect too much because it is part cast and part billet.....but I kinda like it. What do you think?

hell I like it a lot [thumbsup]
Looks OK, not sure there's much difference between it and the stock black swingarm. Except for it looking kind of brown. Time will tell, and you can ask the same question when it turns purple on its own.
What's the story with that frame? Looks fabbed out of Ti or has it just been stripped
The frame is Ti. Still have some work to do on it. Stock frame was 28lbs. Ti frame is about 13lbs.
I will probably end up painting the swingarm.....
it looks awesome but I would probably PC it for longevity.
is it hard anodized? or just regular anodizing?
sulfuric anodize
Well if you're good enough to fab what looks to be a straight up copy of a trellis frame out of titanium you should do the same with the swingarm.
Props to you on that Ti frame
I posted this pic in another thread:

Working on fabing the seat/cowl from CF also...no pics yet
Maybe a dual side swingarm down the road
to me the trellis of the frame and swingarm should match.

I feel the opposite. I dig the contrast ;D

Frame is perfection. Paint the swingarm. It's dullness in close proximity to the frame just doesn't go.
Paint it or powdercoat it.
I'm assuming you will leave the Ti frame uncoated, but if you did paint or powdercoat it then I'd match the frame to the swingarm. Unless the frame is red then I'd make sure the swingarm was black.
Frame is not going to be painted. The tank is going to be black with a dark silver/pewter stripe.
your bike -do as you please. Dare to be different! [thumbsup]
Mine now, but I hope it ends up belonging to someone else!
Nice! I like.
I would throw a coat of clear to protect against UV. Else your nice anodized swingarm will be a nice "purple" anodized swingarm in a year or so.
i say you just throw together a full out build thread... that ti frame looks awesome and i'm sure a lot of people here would be pretty interested in how it came together and how it's going to be finished off ;)
Thought,
Maybe when I get a little further along I'll start a thread. This is something I've been planning for a while and it's finally coming together...although not as quick as I had hoped. I would like to do this for a living and this is the first bike. One thing I didn't plan for(I did, but not enough) was time spent waiting on machine shop, water jet cutting, difficulty in finding the right size and wall thickness of Ti tube, ect.,ect.
Here's a couple of pics of the jig. Also working on a mold for a CF seat/cowl.

wow. very very impressive. i'll take one of those frames!!! ;D [thumbsup]
Please let me throw a cot in the back so I can watch & learn
I'll be your hunchback!
I'll also water your plants. FOR FREE
looks awesome man... and as you can see, get working on that build thread... anytime anyone sees that much ti in one spot, we all want to see how it came together. and then nefariously plot to steal the bike asap. haha
[thumbsup]
I didn't see a swingarm just a frame??
^ you didn't read the first post
