Title: Please HELP!! Inconsistent throttle response
Post by: cbrider09 on June 15, 2011, 11:00:50 PM
I have a 2006 S2R800, the bike sat for about 3 month, it was riding great before. I finally got around to the bike, started it and took it for a ride. The bike idles consistently, in neutral it revs consistently, but once engaged into first,second,third... i have very inconsistent throttle response, the bike bogs and sometime when i twist the throttle all the way, nothing happens. Once i shift the bike into neutral, the throttle response is great again. I have no idea what is going on, please help!

Try some startron to rejuvenate the old fuel.

Ethanol fuel collects water.  The combined ethanol and water will sit low in your tank.  If it's rideable try ride it more, if not suck the gas out and install fresh.

If no benefit from that you may be due for a fuel filter.

EXACTLY as you diagnosed, drained the tank and now problem solved :) THANKS!
