Went out for a short ride this arvo. I set out too late to ride far so I ended up at the nearest hill. It's a busy spot for tourists and weekend warriors and just after I got there I came across this stunning red 360 Spider. It was incredible to follow it, the 620 was falling behind in terms of acceleration for sure, not often you have to work hard keep up with a car! Anyway I had the GoPro on to test a new mount so I figured I'd post up a screenshot. Funny thing was, after I left the hill and was riding back home through the city I came across the same car again. Had a quick chat at the lights and shat my pants as he disappeared like some sonic boom the other way. An amazing car for sure, but you've gotta wonder - how many track days could he have had on a brand new tricked out 1198 instead?...

um... those two things are not mutually exclusive. It's not like he's saying "damn I wish I didn't buy this car because now I can't afford a track day." ;D
It's a motorcycle forum, guys. Leave the "which women I find attractive" crap for the bar discussions, not general forum threads.
That's a nice looking screenshot. Reminiscent of professional photojournalism, like a Cycle World photo or some such. I don't read Cycle World though.
I'm going to have to get one of those cameras.
Really nice pic! [thumbsup]
is that a screen cap from the go pro or a still shot? because if that's a screen cap that's pretty impressive
Thanks for all the positive comments guys. "Thought", it's a screenshot from a video recorded at 720p 60fps, its actually literally just a print screen of the video playing in VLC player. Funnily enough almost every frame in the video is sharp enough to use! The GoPro really is an amazing little camera.
That's awesome... might have to get me one of those cameras.

so what your saying is that even at 1/60th of a second, that car was going fast enough to be a streaky blur.
awesome.
Very nice shot! Borderline "artsy"! [thumbsup]
I've got a buddy that lives in Brissie! Rides an R6...Guille "Bill" Hoffman... from Argentina.
Not to thread-jack (much) but screen caps off most HD vid cameras are good enough for 'web' quality.
I use my flip to record rides and then take individual frames as snapshots.

Yes, definitely the car and not the bike in the right hand lane causing the blur (remembering we drive on the left here).
And "Drunken Monkey", I had noticed the same thing with most video cameras I've used, but in anything other than low light with the GoPro, so long as it's mounted so that it's not shaking around, it seems to put out very nice sharp results. Of course on the time lapse mode is even better. I'm not sure that it would be shooting at 1/60th of a second at 60fps, could be a bit quicker I suppose.
I actually did a little test the other night. I wanted to see if putting the cam in time lapse mode (shooting at intervals of 2 seconds) and driving around through town at night would make it automatically use a long shutter and give me some nice light trails with my car sharp in the foreground. It worked as predicted. I got some interesting results I'll post an example below, but now that I know it works I just need to come up with a solid place to mount it on the bike and drive through some colorful and brightly lit areas. Chuck in some turns/leaning, a little more speed, and more traffic I think it could look pretty damn awesome! This pics pretty ugly, and the camera housing was dirty... I'll have to repeat the test with the Duc!

^^^^Awesome shot. [thumbsup] If I stare at it, it moves. :D
Awesome pics! You are totally selling me on the GoPro!
