Title: countershaft seal?
Post by: BK_856er on June 21, 2011, 12:28:30 PM
Looks like the oil seal behind my front chain sprocket is weeping a bit of oil.  Hopefully this explains oil/dirt accumulation at the lower rear of the motor.

Now would be a convenient time for me to replace this seal.

Anyone have a tips on removal/installation?  Just pull it out with a hook and tap in the new one with lube on the lip and tape on the splined shaft?

Sounds like you've done this before...

it's a pretty straight forward repair.

Excellent.  I don't like surprises.

Thanks for the confirmation.
